All proceeds from the release of Ancestral Stories will be donated directly to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.

It is my firm belief that art, music, and expression are vital to human life—and especially vital to progress and change. Artistic and musical expression allow us to share our emotional landscape with others, allow us to connect in a unique and genuine way, and give us an outlet to digest challenging and intense experiences in a healthy way.
That chance of connection, of asking for and feeling that reciprocated connection in others is what motivates me to continue to create and share, and I believe there is such great and equalizing power and potential in this process of sharing and being heard and felt. I do believe that art is a form of protest, that our voices are powerful, and political. There is a light being shown on the harmful inequity of the world right now, so many systems need dismantling and re-imagining and I believe that music and art are important tools in how we find and create our way forward.
